Replay for Friday’s AI Filmmaking Masterclass!

Replay link for Friday’s call below! This is the unedited call - course version will be fully edited!

We did a broad overview of how to get reference images for your characters and locations, and how to build prompts to run in multi-shot generators. Plus a brief look at other things around the process, and a quickstart at the end for the MCP agent-automation in my filmmaking app.

We took these reference sheets:

And made this scene in Seedance 2.5 (I quick cut our raw two videos together here):

This week will be a deep dive into how to cut things afterward and edit video in Capcut and Davinci Resolve, how to make the soundtracks with Suno and Mozart, how and when to fix things that went wrong or add new things, how and when to add voiceover, and everything around building and finishing your episodes and films.

With these classes I’m aiming to get everyone up to speed on what’s possible, how to do it by hand, and the parts that you might want to control in the process vs automate.

With my app, the goal is to automate as much as possible! And that you won’t have to know all the little gritty particulars all the time. But I’m a firm believer that your output is always gonna elevate with your knowledge of the process. Even if you’re only planning to commission work later, knowing what quality is, and how the process works, is going to serve you well. And especially how to put your own voice and stamp on any project you do.

Also! Wan 3.0 video model just launched in the aggregators - go check that out, we’ll be looking at that this Friday, too, because it’s Seedance 2.0 quality at MUCH less cost, AND 30 second generations, too! (If you’re in Magnific, find it under Alibaba models—they have it 40% off until end of Sept)

Anyhow!! I hope you enjoy the replay, it’s jam-packed with a ton of info, and back with more this week! If you have questions, ask them here or bring to Friday!!

And reminder that access to the alpha of my filmmaking app is gonna end for new subscribers after end of August (I’m working like crazy to launch in public beta shortly!) Everyone in now is grandfathered into the updates in the public version too. But I’m gonna launch at a per monthly price higher than our Substack sub (I know the value and utility and uniqueness of what I’ve built, yo!), so if you want app access + all our weekly calls (and our sizeable archive now, too), come hop in! <3
