Astra made me this:

But, I posted this 20 second clip from it on FB and Instagram yesterday:

It shot to 65K. 👀 Which is the highest I’ve pushed my IG account in a few months (I’d gotten into a holding pattern while building other things).
Today? The same video posted on my personal FB account is currently 800 likes and climbing. I didn’t set either of those posts up the whole way to clearly point that THIS IS A BOOK, alas, I wasn’t expecting the takeoff! And FB had a glitch where it didn’t (just this ONE TIME) pick up the IG caption.
But also?
I gained 700 FB page followers, so I don’t care. Those people are PRIMED for the vertical to start dropping in a few days.
And on the strength of that very particular crazy, I just pulled my ebooks out of wide on a snap (but not impulsive!) decision, gonna take them down from my site, and put them up in KU as soon as all the vendors are clear (and my Dot bot is on the case checking when they clear).
These numbers prove something else—480p is PERFECTLY adequate for socials. So we don’t even have to do a hard spend burn here in upscaling or rolling at a higher resolution. (Well, or not harder than we need to.) It even had an audio gap at the beginning. DIDN’T MATTER.
Here’s my snapshot earlier today of the FB author page one:
